If you are overweight to begin with then you should be more careful with your food choices. There is a big difference with being aware of what you are eating and dieting. You can keep a stable, healthy weight while pregnant by avoiding empty calorie food and drink. You do need to remember though that we pregnant women need about 300 EXTRA calories a day to maintain our growing babies healthfully. The best thing to do is wait till after the baby is born to start a diet or different exercise routine. Dont forget that breastfeeding after giving birth firms up you uterus faster and burns up a lot of calories! Not to mention it is good for your baby :)

No, you should NEVER try to lose weight while pregnant, even if you've gained more than you'd like. It's dangerous to the baby to restrict your calories. You can eat healthier in the next few months so your weight gain might slow, but what's done is done and you want to be gaining all through pregnancy. Stop focusing on feeling fat and be glad you are growing a little person inside of you. After he or she is born, then you can make a weight loss plan.

I am 20 weeks pregnant now with my second child. I gained way too much with the first one and swore that it wouldn't happen again. Well, I already gained 20 lbs. Oh well. Sure I feel fat, but there's just too much "good stuff" to eat between Halloween and New Years is the hardest time to be pregnant. Relax, enjoy the pregnancy and use the feelings you have now to motivate you after the baby is born. Do some mild exercises now and just know that you are doing the best you can. Good luck!

Never try to lose weight while pregnant, if you find out you are talk to your OB about taking a pregnancy yoga or arobics class or even a pregnancy workout video. You really won't lose weight but you will be able to avoid putting on too much baby weight, it can make labor easier when you are in shape & it can get rid of "some rolls" by firming you up. Also it will make it easier to get into shape post baby & you will have more energy, I have continued to go to the gym through all my pregnancies (w/ trainer supervision) and so glad I have done it.

No because when you are pregnant you are actually supposed to be gaining weight. If you lose weight then you are depriving the fetus of the necessary fat that he or she feeds off of you. After the baby is born then lose weight. Plus who cares what you look like. There is nothing more beautiful then a pregnant woman bringing a life into this world.

You don't need to lose weight. It is very unhealthy if you are pregnant. There are other things you can do after you are pregnant. Find out for sure if you are pregnant and let the doctor know how you feel so you won't be feeling the way you do. It could be your hormones to. Better safe with a doctor then sorry.

Do not try to diet unless your caregiver suggest this for you all you need to remember is that gaining weight during pregnancy is normal and it is also temporary so take a chill pill mama and let nature take its course just try to eat as healthy as possible for you and baby and everything should go back to normal shortly after!

It is never a good idea to diet when pregnant. The baby needs all of your nutrients, and a variety at that. Exercise is usually ok, but nothing too strenuous. It is best to check with your ob/gyn.
