After being bit by a spider how long after do you start itching and noticing a bite?

I was visiting relatives and woke up Saturday morning. My face was itching real bad. I looked in the mirror and there were a few lilttle dots on my face. After a couple of hours I could feel a hard place under the skin. I thought maybe I had a pimp coming up. Sunday it was really itching and then that afternoon I had a large red ring on my face. That evening a black scab appeared in the center of the bump. I went to Doctor Tues. and was told it is a spider bite. I received antibiotics and told to put hot compresses on bite. A friend, which is a nurse, got a pin and lifted the black scab off. There is a hole and I was told to try to get it to drain and get the posion out. It is very painful. My relatives told me that I didn't get it from there house that it takes 3 days to start itching or anything to appear. Please advise what this sounds like to you.

right away. you will notice two smalls puncture sites on your skin. do you have the spider? look at it, if the spider has a violin on its body then it is a brown recluse. you will need iv antibiotics.
iv (in the vein). sure sounds like a brown recluse bite to me. the poison actually eats a hole in the flesh. if you don't get better quickly, let you doc know immediately, this could lead to other complications. ask your relatives to have their house exterminated for spiders.
