I'm making cream cheese icing.
I'm only making a little so I have a 4oz cream cheese...
I've put 1/4 cup butter.
How much sugar do I need? Is 1/2 cup ok or should I put more?

I live at a college residence, I don't have much ingrediants, just granular sugar not icing sugar. Do I add milk to the cream cheese?

i would not use that much granule sugar, icing sugar is the best, and i would guess at 1 tbsp, and go from there.. less is more, and you can always add to it,, unless you have a sweet tooth.. don't want to spoil the dessert with overly sweet kiddy icing,,
PS,,Love cream cheese icing,good plan

You need to add 1.5 up to 2 cups of powdered sugar to 4 oz. of cream cheese. Do not use granulated sugar since it will take time to melt and would create a grainy effect on the mixture. Grate a lemon or an orange zest and blend it to the mixture for an added aroma.

You will not be happy if you use granulated sugar instead of icing sugar or powder sugar as we call it here. However, you can turn your granulated sugar into powdered sugar by using a blender or mini grinder and grind it into the powder. For your 4 oz cream cheese, you need abt 1 and 1/2 c or 2 cups of powdered sugar. Good luck!
