Guys, I know some of you still live on that comfortable life with all that free meal and maid services......come'on, when will you be independent? Ever? .....and I meant those of you who are well after your teens and in well in your working age, like 20 and above....
And for those of you out there who live without a single penny from you dad or mom, kudos to you!

To David, true enough when you say that's economics, and you know that, in no time sooner the rent is NEVER gonna be lower than $3000 , So...., are you gonna invite your girl and have your own family in your parents house too? see? that's what I meant?
Aren't you gonna move somewhere else and look for a job that pays you better ?
I guess some guys never will.......

This question is not meant to judge, I am speaking at general, regardless that specific person is an Italian or Spanish or Mexican or New yorker or even a plain Englishman, .......
Moving out DOES Not meant that you had no family values or selfish, or whatever nonsense....
It's about independence and even you had to live with them, does anyone pays thier parents for all that expenses?

I do believe some of you will,..... but I KNOW a lot who doesn't, and THAT 'S what the QUESTION is about.

no. Guys need to be self sufficant. If they are going to go to a university, or are going to do something church related the next year, then some extra time living at home while working toward that is fine. But if is guy lives at home and has a barely paying job, who doesn't really want to do extremely well, no matter how wonderful he is, I will avoid him. He needs some time to mature.

Um....20 isnt old? A lot of guys are still in college by that point. I personally believe 26 is the age limit that anyone should still be at home unless they have had severe problems getting out.

But you can not judge people! Certain cultures find that totally acceptable!! Italian males will stay with their parents all the way until 28-30 years old or until they get married! And they dont move that far away from their parents either so they can always have contact with their family. Are they weak and attached? no! Of course not! They are just VERY close to family. The same with the spanish, they are also very close to family members and some even invite their mother to live with the family if she is widowed.

As a guy, down her in South Florida, where houses sell for $300,000 and UP, and apartments rent for $3,000 per month and UP, it is almost IMPOSSIBLE for a guy to live anywhere BUT home with the parents. It is always not all comfort, it is economics.

I don't so much care if they live with their parrents as long as they're making something for themselves and not having their mummy spoon feed them and dress them.
