I am going to get my first tattoo in a wek or so for my 21st b-day. I know what I want but I want to know how bad is it really... I am not afraid of needles. Second, where is the best place for one for it to be visible but also hidable...when need be.

It feels like when you get a sunburn then forget you have it and scratch the area and are like 'oooo that smarts'. That is what it feels like. Tolerable and addictive =)

I would NOT get a tattoo on the lower back (tramp stamp). I personally think it's very cliche and in time if you have kids or lose or gain weight it could end up distorted. The only reason i can see for hiding a tattoo is at work. Hopefully you don't plan on hiding it from family or anything. Unfortunately there are a lot of judgemental people out there especially in regards to women with tattoos. Anywhere you can hide it under work attire would do and that leaves a very vast canvas. It doesn't hurt that bad. Good luck.

it hurts. how bad? nobody can really tell you because only you know how good you are with pain. where is a good place to hide it, but also let it be visible? i guess the top of your foot. you can wear shoes and hide it or wear sandals if you want to show it off. i have a tattoo on the top of my foot. it is beautiful and am getting another one in a few weeks. it hurt a lot.

Depends on what gender you are. If you're a guy, I'd suggest the arm. If you're a girl, I'd suggest the lower back. Don't worry, it's not that bad. The outlining of the tattoo is the worst (and it's not even THAT bad), and the coloring isn't bad. what it is with most tattoos, once you're body is like, "I've had enough", you're done.

My first tattoo is on my hip and i felt like a bee sting basically then my second one is on my foot. That one hurt a little more but hello no meat there so yeah. It isn't that bad. Just hold someones hand and you will be fine.

i reackon the upper arm. it is only visible when u r wearing a singlet or no shirt :-)

theres actually tattoos you can get that are white so their not rely visible but in the dark, you can see them in color! i heard theyre getting rely popular and theyre def head turners in the clubs. if u alredy kno wut u want, you could get it done on your ankle or around your hip. its up to you!
