Like a charm. You can freeze dough in a lump in a zip-loc, which you then wrap in foil or freezer wrap. Thaw gently and roll out or form as usual. Or, you can scoop the dough onto cookie sheets and freeze until hard. Then drop the frozen scoops of dough in bags or a foil lined box store in the freezer. Then bake as needed. You can also freeze the dough in long rolls and slice'n bake as needed.

ABSOLUTELY.

There is nothing in cookie dough that can't be frozen.

With anything you freeze, however, it is a good idea to seal it well, to prevent against freezer burn (which occurs when, over time, too much oxygen reaches your frozen food.)

Not only can you do it at home, but if you know where to look, you can buy frozen cookie dough at the grocery store. (Which, I am sure, will not be nearly as good as your homemade cookies, but should serve to show that it can be done.)

No, you make bread with frozen cookie dough. Cookies are made with frozen bread dough.

Yes but you need to seal it up where no air can get to it and not for a long time maybe 30 to 60 days only.

Of course, some companies only sell their dough frozen.
