I practice daily communion, sometimes with my wife but depending on our schedules I do it alot by myself. I use a piece of cracker and a little grape juice which is symbolic of His Broken Body that was broken for us, and His Blood in remembrance of His Death and New Covenant.
When I do this, it's a quiet time and I've already asked for forgiveness of anything in me or about me that may be displeasing to Him.
In my mind, I place myself witnessing how He was beaten almost to death for my healing, how they spit on Him and mocked Him as they plucked out His beard. I can see the crown of thorns being shoved down on His forehead and the blood tricking down His face. He's carrying His own cross being tired, hungry, and the people are shouting at Him. These are the same people that He had touched their lives whether He healed them or someone close to them.
They drove these huge spikes into His hands and feet one at a time and as they stood Him up to drop Him into the hole that the cross would stand in, as it dropped every joint in His Body was disjointed.
He was suspended there and He could not position His weight to comfort His Body which was racked with pain whatsoever. The knats and flies caused Him to itch because they were going around His bloody wounds. The heat was beaming down on Him.
And there He who knew no sin became sin for me and for us. He gave His life for me there at that place. Then He went to hell and preached to the spirits there and defeated satan and made a public show of him.
This He did so that I can know and come closer to The Heavenly Father without fear and have a real relationship with Him. And also, so that through the Blood of Jesus I can have eternal life forever but also, so that I can have a victorious life right here right now.
Since I have been spending this time at Calvary and doing so with the elements on a daily basis, my life and my relationship with God has changed dramatically. It has become a very intimate and passionate relationship with Him.
To the non believer and scoffer who chooses not to believe anyway, this makes no sense to you. But to those of us who have chosen Jesus Christ it is our life's blood. I hope this helps. PEACE!!!

Well there is the communion of the Protestant church and there is "Communion". They are not the same. Most Protestant churches to not believe in the real presence of Christ in the bread and wine. They do not even use wine, they use grape juice. So yes, bread and grape juice can be done by anyone anywhere if done in the right frame of mind as a REMEMBRANCE of the last supper. However, it is not the same as consecrating the bread and wine such that it is transformed into the body and blood of Christ. Only a Priest ordained in the line of Apostolic Succession can do that. It is possible for a small group of people to gather in someone's home and have a priest come and say Mass. We use to do that a lot. I did it years ago as part of the blessing of my home.

I've heard of it, and seen it. However to me there is nothing mystical about "communion" or celebrating the Lord's Supper. To me, it is something the fellowship of believers does together to remember His death at the cross for us. I am more comfortable with that being done in the local church setting, or at least in small groups. But there are many ideas about how to do things. It's not the kind of thing I would fight about. (I would probably find a few things I would be willing to fight about when it comes to some - not all - TV evangelists.)

If you are catholic, you have been taught that communion is a sacrament that can only be given in the church by a priest. Most non-catholic churches see communion as a ceremony of remembrance - reminding us of what Jesus did for us. Therefore it doesn't have to be done in a certain way, or by a certain person. So, done in homes as a reminder - OK

During the example Jesus set He said do this in remembrance of Me. He didn't really say where. I am not familiar with the people you are referring to. i am looking at Corinthians 1 11:23-29 and do not see any particular place it is to be performed. I would say by not finding anything at this time as to where it should be done, it is your motive and heart towards God and why you are partaking in the first place.
