yes a find women to be intimidating on the social front. he feels like you shot him down laugh at him then felt bad after it all. but if you explain he may understand or maybe he's moved on. you may have even crushed his little heart if he felt the same way. at new years he wanted only you an worked him self up enough courage to overcome his social anxiety to get off his nervous *** and talk to you. i can get the same way esp if baked and often make an *** of myself hence the anxiety next time. just let him know what really happened and how you feel.

Instead of texting him....call him up and ask him if he wants to hang out some time. something you muttally enjoy like a movie or bowling or gaming.

Make some new common ground with him. Talk with him about something you are passionate about that you at least think he doesnt hate.

Show interest in him....but dont scream it...just subtely show interest.

He is hesitant from the sounds of it, you should ask him out since you like him. Try not to let your nerves get the best of you just relax and be yourself. If he approached you at one time then he has an attraction to you just remember that and enjoy your time with him. We often let our head get in the way of our hearts, just follow your heart and know whatever will be will be.

It could just be that you're both not being honest with yourselves. Go for coffee or something without booze involved, get a good feeling for whether you are really still into one another. Be casual , have fun.

You make it all seem very complicated. Why not simplify things & just ask him out, & try to talk things over with him.

Hell ya! Ask him out, he'll love it. No guy doesn't appreciate getting asked out. I promise!
