some beats are generated in the wrong part of the heart and cause an insufficient "squeeze" of the heart. This results in inadiquate blood being pumped out, so you don't "feel" the pulse of that beat. You are probably getting a small burst of either atrial fibrillation or ventricular fibrillation. With atrial the beat is initiated in the top part of the heart and the heart squeezes top to bottom, like normal, just without the good squeeze. With ventricular the beat is initiated bottom up and this is ineffective in pumping blood. 6 or more in a row and you may feel woozy or faint. Their is medicine to help with irregular heart beats. Try to build up the high-speed responses in your legs. Practice starting out as soon as you hear the whistle or whatever. This will build nerve connections in your brain--believe it or not, you will start running sooner. Also, to build up your speed, practice pedaling on a bicycle as fast as you can for 20 seconds and repeat 5 to 7 times, 5-6 days a week. Practice running different distances, not necessarily 55, 100 or 200 meters. About the long jump, try to make your legs stronger--this will give you more power to jump. Make sure you stretch a lot so your muscles can propel you farther--they're like springs--stretch them and they will have more power. Good luck!

If your heart stops for 1 second you are dead. I think you may be mistaking heart palpitations which are an irregular heart beat. If you are concerned see a doctor.

running a 7 minute mile isn't exactly a natural action...especially repeated times...therefore your body isn't going to react in a natural manner
