is it true i heard this from my Co-worker , christians cannot remarry again after their 1st marriage?
so what you going to do? i mean is it better to get married again, otherwise, you will do sins sleeping with other people without marriage?!

The best idea is not to get a divorce. If you are in a truely abusive situation, like say an alcoholic spouse, then you might want to get your spouse profesional help. But if it is just because you fight all the time, then try to work it out. Try to pinpoint the thing that causes the fights and then come to some sort of compromise about it. And Christians belieave that when you marry someone, then you are bound to that person for life, or do marrige vows mean nothing to you?

God is the originator of marriage and it was meant to be a permanent bond. Here is what Jesus said at Matthew 19:9 "I say to YOU that whoever divorces his wife, except on the ground of fornication, and marries another commits adultery.” Sexual infidelity by a mate is the only ground for a divorce that will allow the innocent mate to remarry.
Also, I Corrinthians 7:10-16 serves as an encouragement to stay together, "To the married people I give instructions, yet not I but the Lord, that a wife should not depart from her husband; 11 but if she should actually depart, let her remain unmarried or else make up again with her husband; and a husband should not leave his wife.
12 But to the others I say, yes, I, not the Lord: If any brother has an unbelieving wife, and yet she is agreeable to dwelling with him, let him not leave her; 13 and a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and yet he is agreeable to dwelling with her, let her not leave her husband. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in relation to [his] wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in relation to the brother; otherwise, YOUR children would really be unclean, but now they are holy. 15 But if the unbelieving one proceeds to depart, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not in servitude under such circumstances, but God has called YOU to peace. 16 For, wife, how do you know but that you will save [your] husband? Or, husband, how do you know but that you will save [your] wife? "
There are other scriptural grounds for separation such as
1 Timothy 5:8 ( willful nonsupport), Galatians 5:19-21; Titus 1:7 (extreme physical abuse), Psalm 11:5, Matthew 22:37; Acts 5:27-32 (absolute endangerment of a believer's spirituality)
However, this is scripture states that although there are scriptural grounds for separation. The person is not free to remarry unless it involves adultery or "fornication." according to Matthew 5:32 "However, I say to YOU that everyone divorcing his wife, except on account of fornication, makes her a subject for adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery."

Christianity is huge with several different denominations. Each denomination has their own definition of Christian rules and guidelines. Some say it's wrong to watch tv, others believe in polygamy---it all just depends on the denomination. Most Christians believe divorce is a last option, but if it happens one is free to remarry.

Matthew 5:32 (Jesus speaking) But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
So yes... Jesus did say it (and might I remind everyone that adultery is also an abomination and punishable by death in the OT like homosexuality... so be really careful who you point fingers at)
Now personally, remarriage doesnt bother me, nor does homusexuality. I see both as sin but according to the Bible, one isnt greater than the other and both are forgiveable.

Divorce and remarriage is permitted by most Christian denominations. The most obvious exception is Catholics, who are not permitted to remarry unless the prior marriage is annulled (proven invalid). Divorced Catholics who remarry without annulment are denied the Eucharist or any ministerial position in the church. There are Catholics who believe this policy is unjust.

yeah its in the bible. at my friends church they had a really good pastor that everybody liked but he got a divorce from his wife (she was a acholic) and he couldnt be the pastor any longer. a lot of christians get divorced. i think getting remarried is not as bad as sleeping with other ppl without being married. but im definaltly not God so i cant judge.

That's not true; in the case of abandonment or sexual infidelity, on the part of your ex spouse, you may remarry.

Thats to do with us Catholics...
Christians do remarry. A lot of diorced Catholics choose to marry at a Protestant ceremony due to this....
