Less than any other country. With the possible exception of Austrailia, we stand alone in the "we couldn't care less" box.

With the Bush administration stating that carbon dioxide is not a pollutant, the EPA is not allowed to address global warming or is even capable of regulating it. However recently, the state EPA is suing the federal EPA saying that carbon dioxide is a pollutant and can be therefor can be regulated.

Until a new administration is in power with a different view, the Supreme Court rules in favor of the States, or the United States signs a treaty the US won't be doing anything to address global warming.

The US, highest CO2 emitter country, has previously supported the Kyoto protocol but later on backed out of the protocol with a view that the developing countries should also participate as the protocol follower.

Later on US has also pointed out that they will check that whether the global warming is happening actually or not.

Recently, US has started supporting and funding the projects in developing countries which are disqualified under Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), an supportive adaptation under Kyoto, to earn the carbon credits at cheaper rates.

US has altogether denied that anything like global warming induced by us humans exist. US President Bush had signed Kyoto protocol but later backed out.

US is one of the larget CO2 emiter and is doing the most harm to our environment but they are not ready to even agree to the global warming problems. Acording to some scientists global warming is a natural phenomenon which is correct but what we humans have done is induced the rise in temperature and this is going to hurt a lot of countries especially the underdeveloped and developing once who donot have enough money and scientific knowledge to save them selves. US has denied any such things and have clearly said that they are not going to do anything for this.

Are you kidding ? The U.S. has the toughest pollution laws IN THE WORLD ! so much so, that ALL of our manufacturing has gone to other country's that could care less about the environment, and only about money, Weather patterns are cyclical, I don't put much stock in "Global warming", if it was true, how come the Earth does NOT fall apart when a volcano erupts ???? That spews more poison, and co2 in just a few days, than every automobile in the world does in years ????

More than almost any other country.

What other countries have clean air laws? Smog checks? Refinery pollutant limits?

You'd think all the manufacturing in China would merit that, but wait.. oh wow! They're EXEMPT.

I've seen the vehicles they drive in the middle east. Anyone wanna bet how many of those puppies are smogged?

Do they recycle? Nope.
And you'd think they would, what, with the lack of TREES they have.

Global warming is batshiat, Algorians. Sorry.

Our president has denied that a problem exists...how's that for a good start...we haven't done much for global warming only indirectly because of economics such as using ethanol instead of oil
