I would run over a dead animal only if I didn't see it, or if I couldn't avoid it without causing an accident. The same goes for a live animal. I wouldn't run over a dead animal just for "fun", partly because it wouldn't be "fun" for me, but mainly because I don't want road pizza chunks or juice on my tires or car.

My car sits too low. A dead animal would probably rip my muffler off. I tried to straddle a dead, maggoty, bloated, possum and I scraped him, it was an awful sound.
