sugar doesnt cause cavities...this is the most common misconception people have in regards to dental caries (cavities). bacteria in the mouth eat sugar and when they do they kick out acid that demineralizes the teeth and causes cavities. if you get the bacteria under control then sugar isnt a problem. proper oral hygiene is the key to preventing cavities. eat raisins...just be sure to brush morning and night and floss.

Raisins are said to cause cavities because they get stuck in your teeth but if you clean your teeth well they won't. I eatraisins everyday and I've never had a cavity.

Believe it or not, raisins are as bad as some candies. They are really loaded with sugar and sticky to boot. Read the label.

Raisins, like any other highly sticky sugar-containing food will enable those bacteria,(whose metabolic by-products determine not only the existence and development of tooth decay, but also its rate,) to readily flourish.

Any food can contribute to tooth decay if you don't clean your teeth after you eat. Foods high in sugars are worse than others, raisins are high in sugar and they are a little bit sticky too.

believe it or not cavaties are hereditary.
if your parents/grandparents both have false teeth chances are you will have to have them!!
no way you can stop this.!
and so with cavaties.. and no sugar does not cause cavaties.
look at all the people that eat watermellon/ do they too have false teeth? i dot think so!!
no raisins cannot give calories/ if they give you anything it will be vitamins!!

Not unless you do not brush your teeth to remove the natural sugar that it holds.
