The serenity prayer comes to mind. If you are familiar with that.
I may not have a choice to accept what is dealt to me on a daily basis, but I do have a choice with how my attitude is towards it.
What helps me deal with life's flow is taking into consideration that things just could really be worse. It is all in how we deal with what is given to us.

Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like that alot. I know it's true. Have you ever looked back at a difficult time in your life and realized that if things didn't happen exactly the way that they did - some really really good things would never have happened to you and how every detail just fell into place somehow? Yeah, it's like someone knows what's going on here and has a master plan but I can never see it looking ahead - only after the fact. Even today - I mean okay - so I was working and I made the right connections and it was just amazing because it is so difficult to do - it was like magic like it was just fate. Life is really cool when thinking about it like this!

It's funny... rationally, I don't believe in determinism. I think it's ridiculous that I wouldn't have control over my own life. However, when ever something bad happens I always tell myself that everything happens for a reason, and then something good comes out of it. Although that might be because I don't want bad things to happen for nothing... I force something good to come out of it. So... I guess not.
