Look at Genesis again.
God created this planet and its species, including homo sapiens, over 5 time periods. All “creatures” were created “AFTER ITS KIND” and able to “multiply” (procreate).
Then in the sixth time period Adam was created “AFTER OUR IMAGE”! Adam was created BY HIMSELF! He was given “God’s spirit”. Gen. 2:7-9, 16&17. HE was created to live indefinitely within his special environment, the Garden of Eden. That’s why it was fatal for him to eat from the “tree of knowledge of good and evil”. Gen. 2:17.
Eve was an afterthought so Adam would not be all by himself. Gen. 2:21,22
Meant to live indefinitely Adam and Eve did NOT NEED to procreate! They had no sense or ambition of sexuality. Gen. 2:25. They were not ashamed – innocent.
God gave them the power of choice, to obey his instructions or not.
After eating the forbidden fruit – also known as the “original sin” - they were sexually “activated” (Gen. 3:7-11 & 16) (they were ashamed!) and God had to change His plans for them. So Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden in order to KEEP THEM AWAY from the “tree of life” which could have sustained their life (and that of now possible offsprings) indefinitely - Gen. 3:22-24.
They were now condemned to live their life in the outside world and procreate like the “creatures” (Neanderthals & Co.) created before them. (Gen. 3:16) They now also were destined to die like them.
However, they (the dscendents of Adam) lived much longer due to their speciel origin and the climate before the flood. The oldest ever, Methusalah, died in (the year of) the flood! Then the livespan decreased sharply.

They and or their immediate ancestors had been living in God's Garden laboratory ( Called the Garden of Eden).
What was in the Garden of Eden that was not present outside the Garden? Answer: The tree of life. (Actually it was a special honey tree that enabled God and his home planet to achieve eternal life- but that's another story.)
Sorry for the rambling:
Biblically living long lives related rather directly to how close your generations was separated from those who had lived in the Garden and consumed the tree of life. Within a few hundred generations, the average person lived an average of 3 score and 7 years. The average life expectancy began to approach 77 years. Of course, according to the Bible, to live that long or longer you had to have learned from your parents (as to what is good and what is bad for your health).
PS: Every culture that ever existed knew how long a year was. where is the proof of that? Well, the farmer's almanac is the modern version of the fact that every culture knew the seasons and recorded them and kept track of them in order to know when to plant their crops.
For someone to say that the Jews didn't have any idea of how long a year was, would be to say the Jews never sowed, or reaped, or celebrated the harvest (Does Ruth meeting King Moab at the Harvest Celebration ring a bell?)

The ancient Hebrew people who wrote Genesis (as well as the rest of the Old Testament) didn't use numbers the way we do. Saying that Noah, for example, lived 900-some-odd years just means that he lived a long life. And in the Abraham story, when Sarah is told that she'll give birth to a son at 90 years old, it doesn't literally mean she was 90- just that she was getting to be an older woman who was pretty much past her child-baring years.

Do you rather think of no one has examine the Bible? no prefer so you might cite it. you attempt to educate the Bible by making use of quoting the Bible. Your head is spinning from such around reasoning. The Bible has the sequence incorrect in many procedures. examine some technology and spot. it isn't the suitable order technology has proved it to be. Get your head out of your rectum and examine technology, not creationist hogwash. whilst did Moses write Genesis? a number of my buddies say Moses copied Ikhnaton the pharoah of Egypt who replaced into the 1st monotheist and reigned 1372 to 1354 B.C. Moses might've written Genesis after that, so because it rather is 3381 years in the past at maximum, besides the fact that if he wrote it whilst he first met Ikhnaton. greater possibly it replaced into 3363 years or much less. The action picture "the ten Commandments" has Rameses II as pharaoh in the process the Exodus. He reigned 1297 to 1213 B.C. Cecil B. DeMille says Moses wrote Exodus 3255 to 3222 or so years in the past. Did you pull this "over 4000 years" out of your rectum too?

Some believe that a canopy of water covered the Earth before the flood, creating a kind of greenhouse effect that also filtered out harmful radiation from outer space. After the flood, life expectancy began to plummet See Genesis 12:10-25, note the gradual decline, which continued until Moses' time, who wrote in Psalm 90: "the years of a man are 70 years or if by reason of strength 80 years" (verse 10), so by his time the average live expectancy was 70-80 years, although he himself lived to 120.

It was the beginning of imperfection and therefore this imperfection was still only in it's beeginning stage which allowed people to live longer since humans were designed to live endlessly, but today the imperfection has increased as time has come down to our day. and the time of our life has shortened drastically. But, we today do have the opportunity to get onto God's side and receive his gift of never ending life in perfection and happiness here on earth!Only Jehovah God is the giver of life and can therefore be called the fountain of life and youth, and he is eager and willing to educate people in how they can obtain this gift and more! Some living today may even be among the ones who may never ever experience death at all! What a marvelous prospect that is!

Genesis was metaphorical, which means that nobody really lived to be 1,000 years old. Evolution has already taught us that Genesis was not meant to be taken literally. How many talking snakes, Magic trees, and Things coming out of nowhere do you see today?
And plus if evolutionists came from monkeys, It says in the bible that humans came from dust---primarily dead skin cells.

Because there was a totally different climate and way of living than there is now. Funny how so many people here jump on the illusion that the Bible is mythalogical. Open your eyes!

Because according to the Bible the world back then was much much different than it is today. There are a few other things but it would take a long time to explain, if you are truly interested: http://www.answersingenesis.org
