Loss of hair is a hereditary trait that comes from the mother's side of the family. Typically is starts in the 30's-40's, but it can be much earlier. Some are unlucky enough for it to start at the ripe age of 18 (like me).

Sometimes when people have cancer their hair starts to fall out but it could also be because of aging or stress.
