I have taken this medication at one point in the past. Usually medications such as this tend to be real difficult to tell just what side effects will hit you. The best thing to do is to type in Lamictal with quotes on the web and this will most likely give you a web site that will tell you the side effects. I think that the Epilepsy Foundation of America also has information on this medication. I will give you the address to that web site. Good luck on the info hunt!

Been on it now for six months. No side effects that I have noticed. I take it along with Depakote. Yes, watch out for the rash if you just started on it, you should be gradually increasing to the 200 mg dose if you just started it. See or call your doctor.

My husband is on it....100 mg....no side effects, but there is a condition where you can develop a pretty serious skin rash, he was told it affects about 8 % of those on it. If you haven't seen it after the first 30 days, you're probably okay. Your dr should've explained this to you...I'd ask!

I'm on lamictal..300 mg day, it's for my epilepsy and I don't have any side effects. I was on dilantin and phenobarbital for nearly 20 yrs and the pheno is a barbituate and it had some side effects like drowsy and slower mental status.

I used to be on lamictol and no I didn't have any side effects but the medication wasn't helping me so my doctor took me off of it.
