Wow I didn't realize this would get so many answers. Maybe Trobay should try being a little nicer while still getting her point across. Being nice goes along way, and not everyone out there is a BACKYARD BREEDER

I was actually wondering myself why this guy is so rude. I'm really not one to be mean, but this guy deserves it. He spends countless hours on here, insulting each and every person that owns a dog that he does not "approve" of. He's a VET TECH that thinks he is ruler of the dog world or something, but guess what, he's not! Oh well, just let him ramble on and on with his babbled nonsense. All people on here want to do is ask simple questions, or complexed ones, and get answers from people that maybe have advice from experience or knowledge. We don't need his negativity.

As for backyard breeders.. They're not hurting anybody. So what if they want to breed their dogs. Some of us DO NOT CARE whether our dogs are show dogs from "champion lines". We want a pet, and from them, thats just what we get. Who cares how much money they make? I don't. Good for them. If they strive to be entreprenuers, let them. Some people think its great, some think its wrong. Who's right? Who's to say that they are or aren't. One day all these protesters (for every cause) are going to realize, PEOPLE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK! They just don't. Sorry, but thats the way it is.

I am a breeder and I often answer the same questions she/he does.

Some of the answers can be very opinionated without really answering the persons question.

I do believe she has a vast amount of knowledge, but most of the people asking dog related questions have never been educated on what is harmful and what is not concerning breeding or birthing.

Breeding/ caring for animals is not something a person is born knowing, for a fact, the more I learn about breeding the dumber I realize I am!

I do believe she has a very set opinion, and nothing is going to change it. Everything is not black and white, there is a huge gray area where information can change.

There is also a big difference between BYB and a puppy mill, although the distinction is not always clear to a breeder that has the funds to only raise, breed and show Champion dogs.
I can't claim a single "close" Champion in my bloodline. But most of the people I sell to want a fat, HEALTHY puppy and wouldn't know a Champion pedigree if it were to bite them in the butt. I even fit in that category!!!

As for Get Em Gang, he/she is just plain nasty, rude and beyond obnoxious. Even if he is correct on a lot of his answeres, I am just happy I have never been on the receiving end of his comments. There are ways of telling people they are wrong without trying to make them feel like a dumb a$$
I try (don't always accomplish it) to answer the questions and give information without being rude.

Pepsie -

I read an answer that you have two dogs and didn't want to deal with introducing a third. YOU ARE NOT A HANDLER!!

I rarely have less than ten dogs at one time. Introducing one to 2 is nothing. Introduce three new dump offs to 5 previous fosters and five territorial A S S E S (Unadoptable) of my own. And they all learn to deal with and eat with each other!!

And its Obsessed. And BYB's are the reason I have so many animals at my house and I am grateful that torbay is out there helping to spread the word. SPAY AND NEUTER. I in no way find it fun to rush around and find ways to get dogs out of shelters before they die because people want to see one litter. I have a so called purebred White GSD that was bred with a so called black and tan GSD. Well I saved her and let her have her babies instead of being killed because some dumb hilljack wanted to make a buck.

If you don't have the ability to realize the pet overpopulation problem in this country you should not even own a pet. Your lack of compassion for the dying animal in a shelter shows you do not look at the pets as lives but as property.

Perhaps a bit rough around the edges, but tbnewf is probably fed up with ignorant people breeding dogs with health/temperament problems to make a quick buck.

I would guess that TBN has probably worked in rescue and seen the results of bad breeding and is understandably upset when reading some of the questions posted here. It doesn't take a crystal ball to see that the some of the folks asking questions are going to be creating more puppies with problems.

If you spend a great deal of time working with rescue, then you ARE going to get really angry when you see people basically making the problem of unwanted pets worse.

If you want to breed, then you should agree to take ANY puppy you produce back during the life of the dog and put that in a written contract....any takers?

First..for Pepsie....who can have ANY respect for a loser that comes on here and looks for breeding advice for their "clients"? ANY quality handler would NOT be on here seeking that advice. And your lack of general dog knowledge and lack of ability to even SPELL most breeds just ADDS to your looking like a loser.
I am just pointing out where you give MISINFORMATION.

For others.......IF you all like BYB...good for you. Personally, I cannot stand them. I have worked in shelters as a vet tech long enough to see that almost ALL the purebred dogs dumped there come from the BYB. Why is that????

Does anyone think all the coddling and hand holding is going to get these people to chance their mind about BYB. Let's look a recent post. A loser with three week old Rotti puppies. 9 born, 5 left. They keep dying. Can't go to the vet..they want money UP FRONT.
What can you say to that? "So sorry dear, that happens" "Better luck next time"????? This person clearly saw the $$$ in breeding and put nothing into it and is getting that in return...NOTHING!!!!!!!!! This person deserves nothing. Nothing I can say could help her since she will not seek the proper treatment. But I guess making her feel better is what it is all about!!! I am sure her NEXT litter will do better!!!

I think there are a few too many that are becoming OBSESSED..( it is not ABSCESSES) with Gang and I. You all must LOVE to keep reading the answers so you can keep talking about them!!!

No actually, from the answers I've seen that person just seems passionate and honest. Just because a person gives an answer you don't like, it doesn't make them "rude". Granted, a some of the answers could have been put a little more tactfully but you have to understand when it comes to people who breed without knowledge or breed irresponsibly (like most of the people who post questions I've come across on here do) it is frustrating. Some people are just harsher than others and don't want to sugarcoat things.

Hmmm, between this chap and GitemGang, seems a loss of focus is happening. In case you haven't noticed, a similar question has been asked of GitEm Gang and Trobaynewfie replied in his favour.
Now, from the limited time I have been here, seems to me both could actually offer quite a lot, assuming they are not posers, ie con artists in the first instance.
Point I am trying to make is that, whilst what may be perceived as stupid, silly, obvious/answer type questions, to those who have been there for a thousand years, might possibly be genuine questions from a total newbie with no breeder back up support and simply doesn't know where to even start!
Shouting in capital letters will only further alienate. Agreed, there are also total idiot posts, such is the make up of these open question/answer type forums. My question to both Trobaynewfie and GitEm Gang would be:
If you are both professionals with experience, then surely you both are able to evaluate the questions worth answering? By that I mean, you have been here clearly long enough to differentiate between the stupid "hoax" questions and the real pleas for help?
Do you both really wish to help educate? Or do you wish to just denegrate and serve no purpose at all?

I haven't seen anything about this.
And if this person is rude and obsessed with BYB, many people are.

BYB's are harming breeds, harming people, over whelming shelters, and making a crap load of money off of unsuspecting, undeducated people who dont' know how to find a reputable breeder.

Because of working with rescue and shelters, I see what happens to the puppies, and mama, dad dogs when they no longer produce.

BYB's are awful. Ignorant. Money hungry idiots.

Hmmm...........Reminds me of A Few Good Men. "The truth?! You can't handle the truth!!" LMAO! Awwww, did your feelings get hurt? I'm so sorry. Maybe you should ask ignorant questions to other ignorant people and the answers won't bother you so much.

I guess it you "Can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen"!!!!!!

I read that Monickas questions and she got what she deserved!!
Girl, you bought a undersized crappy puppy...and it IS a health problem if it cannot regulate its own blood sugar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF you truly have good questions about giant breed dogs, Torbay is the one to ask....if you want to do it the RIGHT way!!!!!!!

I have noticed that extreme "brown nosers" here too. Chetco is the prime. Just tell everyone what they want to hear and all will be well!!!

There are other too. St.Lady...you ARE a brown-noser too!!!
