Long story short: I developed a relationship with a guy in real life & he was immature and broke up with me on myspace instead of in person or at least on the phone like an adult would. I haven't spoken to him in 2 weeks since the break-up, but finally wrote him an e-mail today telling him I want my things back (including the spare key to my apartment which I gave him because my door only locks from the outside when you're leaving & I didn't want my stuff getting stolen if he planned on leaving my place after I did). He wrote me back saying that he threw the key away. The question is, do you think a guy would really throw it away or do I need to worry he may try to get into my place? Just want some insight...

My opinion, he wants to keep the key... change your locks.

There's a possibility that he really didn't throw the key away. But then again, maybe he did. Question him further about it. Why did he throw it away? And be demanding, instead of being scared.

But i would recommende changing a lock for safety reasons

I personally don't think he threw it away. The safest thing to do is to change ur locks. It's very easy, and u'll have the peace of mind.

it depends what kind of terms you guys are on. If i were you i would go to homedepot and buy a new lock. they are like 15 dollars. That way you have no worries! Good luck!
