Or did you not investigate it? If not, were you just brainwashed to believe it?
Did you read the whole bible before becoming a Christian?
1. Having a "feeling" is not an investigation
2. Having unexplained experiences is not an investigation
3. Hearing voices is not an investigation
4. Hallucinating in not an investigation
5. Having "faith" in not an investigation
If you didn't investigate it, how do you know it's true?

Sally,
There's a big difference between love and an invisible man floating around, answering prayers, making things happen, judging people and fighting the devil

opinionat,
You "felt" the presence of the Lord? How do you know what it feels like and how can you be sure that it was an invisible man(god)?

I did not become a Christian by investigation even though I read the Bible before I was a Christian.
Investigation and facts do not transform people into Christians. These might prevail to make really intellectual, religious people but not Christians.
A person cannot make his or herself a Christian. Only God, by His love, is able to move upon a person's heart and bring about the change in their thoughts and feelings to begin the Christian life.
Becoming a Christian is an experience; the experience of repentance and sorrow for a selfish life and selfish words and deeds. The slumbering conscience is awakened to respond to God's call for moral excellence and character development as outlined in the Bible.
The beauty of character in Christ and God as contrasted with the selfishness and pride of my human nature cannot be quantified in a laboratory because worldly science is opposed to such humility of man.
The individual submits to the claims of God upon the conscience and a change takes place. Humility takes the place of pride and arrogance making possible the communication of God with that person by consistent, periodic impressions on the conscience.
The great stumblingblock, the dilemma for the rejector of God is within that person. The greater that person's opinion of their own intelligence or ability the less will he or she understand about God.
The wrong tools are being applied in the investigation of God, therefore the wrong results will always follow.
Humility and a willingness to acknowledge and surrender to the impressions made upon the conscience are how you investigate God's existence.
Who is prepared for the challenge ? Who will submit to the test of personal experience ? The personal experience can be quite accurately estimated by the character of the individual.
A true conversion to Christ is an inward experience that is revealed outwardly in the conduct in accordance with right principles that can be seen by all; not sometime or every now and then but consistently throughout the life with increasing brightness.

Well, this is certainly an unbiased question full of just plain opinions, isn't it? Also, telling people how they can and cannot answer. You're a jerk. I love you with Christian love, but you're still a jerk.
I have a question for you. Why do you come here and post this stuff? This is against Yahoo answers rules. It would fall under the category: Not a question, and if I reported it, it would be deleted. However, I'm not vindictive (I'm a Christian), so I'll let it go.
Have a nice night, and be blessed.

I was an unbeliever most of my life. Extremely skeptical on all issues concerning the Bible and God the Father. I studied the Bible for many many years and read it from cover to cover several times. I have also read most available versions of the Bible, even the JW bible. I cross referenced and checked all. I searched for God, wanted to see if this was true or false. Long story short I found it to be true. I had no hallucinations, no brain washing, nobody telling me or forcing me. I believe I very throughly investigated it and did not walk in blind. I know the Lord and accept Christ as my one and only Savior. God walks with me always and I know that for a fact.

Do you believe in love? Have you investigated it? Can you prove it, see it? You have to take some things on FAITH. Yes, I studied all the major religions of the world and became a Christian. Because Jesus taught love for all and caring. He came to teach peace. So many people don't get the message these days.

No, I felt the presence of the Lord, and after I gave my heart to Jesus, I felt a 100 pound weight lift off my shoulders. I have seen miracles and had others receive miracles in the church after we prayed. I have seen in the old testament where there was prophesies and in the new testament where they were fulfilled. The bible is so in depth that you could study it all your life and not skim the surface. When you sit under an anointed teacher or preacher, you learn so much and know that God is real and the bible is true.

while i did not initially investigate christianity before deciding to believe in this faith (i was raised cathoic), being a curious person, i did investigate christianity later. if u are confused to evidences for christianity, try reading "the case for christ" and "the case for faith" by lee strobel. i did, and these books provide a thorough investigation of christinity and the christian faith for everyone from believers to skeptics. there is also a "case for creation" by the same author that delves into the arguments for creationism. hope that helps :)
