Hi there.
The websites the first answerer gave you are good resources. You will find that rather than different stages, there are actually different types of MS. Some come and go, some deteriorate. Depending on the type your brother has, there are different expectations, including difficulty walking, talking, cognitive changes, etc. Its a tough disease, especially since the patients are generally so young. Your brother is lucky to have a sister like you who cares so much. Staying on his meds, and staying out of the heat are two important factors. There is good rehabilitation available and he should consider that in order to preserve and maintain functioning for as long as possible. One thing I've seen with a lot of my young patients is depression. You can imagine it would be difficult to be a young person with a diagnosis like MS. My prayers to you and your family.

I have MS too and I knwo how hard it is, I was diagnosed a year ago at 19. Some people don't talk about it because, "if I dont say it, it can't be true" kind of thing. Some people won't shut up about it! Or there are people like me, who prefer to joke about it so people know, but they also know that things aren't always as bad as what they say. Your brother sounds like he is on Betaseron. It has been on the market the longest and has really good result. There is RRMS(most common and prolly what you brother has), SPMS(the second stage to RRMS), PRMS(most rare 5% of cases) and PPMS(also rare only 10% of cases. The best site I have found is www.nmss.org it is always updated with the new things. You can always become part of a news group to keep you updated on it.

He ought to check out a product called Prokarin on the Yahoo search engine. Some people with MS have reported good results from taking it.
Also look up Colamine. (Calcium AEP)
