It's soft and squishy, and it doesn't get any bigger or smaller. It doesn't seem to bother her much and she eats and plays just fine. What could it be? Is it just a odd growth that I shouldn't worry about?

Jane7 is right. I found a lump on my dog. My husband said it was not serious but I insisted we take him to the Vet (he is like my child and I would take my child to the doctor if I found a lump): it was an enormous tumor that was growing into his body. It took two surgeries to get rid to the thing but finally it has not come back

It's probably a fatty tumor. They are harmless unless they grow to the point that they interfere with the movement of the cat. You can have a vet remove it if you like and it's usually not that expensive. By the way, fatty tumors are usually not cancerous. If you are concerned that it might be some type of cancerous tumor then I would recommend that you have a vet look at it and he/she can tell you.

Go see the vet. My cat had a weird lump and it was cancer. I wish I'd gone sooner. I judge when it's time to go to the vet by imagining myself with the same symptoms. Wouldn't you go see the doctor if you had a weird lump?

My dog had a weird lump on her stomach and it was cancer. Don't press on it and go to the vet immediately.

It could be just a fat lump! But I'd take him for a vet's check up!
