Can't you call a racetrack and ask them about the jockey club. I know the letter tells you which year the horse is born. My friend did this before. We have a racetrack close by.

Do you know that horses registered name? If you do you can try looking at www.pedigreequerry.com
and see if the horse is listed in their data base. Not all are but many are.
Your horse is a 2001 foal from the E on the tattoo.
Other than that you are going to have to pay Jockey Club for tattoo research. Last time I looked it was about $35 but it has been a few years.

You can have the tattoo of your horse researched with the Jockey Club, follow the link below. It is from the Jockey club website. Good luck!

Last I heard the Jockey Club won't give you info based on a tattoo number alone, and it is pretty hard to find a horse's record if you don't have his papers or at least his registered name. If I'm not mistaken, the E makes him a 2001 foal. Good Luck!!

Why would you share this number with the world? Why not add your social security number & the VIN number to your vehicle, while you are at it! Some things SHOULD be kept PRIVATE! Horse thieves are still hard at work & you have just delivered dinner to them!
