In the book of Matthew it gives the Genealogy of Jesus. Its Chap.1 It says that Joseph was the son of Jacob, ans he was the husband of mary. It says he was a righteous man. It doesnt talk about joseph alot because Jesus was the main person. the entire NT is based on him. Info about jospeh wasnt important.

The obvious answer is that Joseph doesn't get more mention in the Bible because God wanted it this way. I can't begin to guess at His reasons, but you can be sure He has them. Joseph raised Jesus, but he was no blood relation. That's why Matthew also gives us Mary's genealogy; it's through her that He is connected to the house and lineage of King David -- which the Messiah had to be, according to prophecy. We're pretty sure that Joseph had passed away by the time Jesus started His earthly ministry because Joseph isn't mentioned. When Jesus was dying on the cross, He 'gave' His mother away to the Apostle John. This leads scholars to believe that Mary was, by then, a widow. As the eldest son, Jesus had the responsibility to care for His mother in her old age. He fulfilled His earthly responsibility to her by 'giving' her to John to care for. Had she still a husband at this point, Jesus would not have needed to do this. So, scholars believe, Joseph was already dead.

I think the noblest thing said about Joseph was that when his betrothed wife was found to be pregnant, he made the only reasonable assumption that could be made, yet it says "(he) being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her, desired to put her away secretly" (Matthew 1:19). Betrothal at that time was equivalent to marriage in that Mary could have been accused of adultery and stoned. So even though he must of been grieved with a sense of betrayal, he had no vindictive attitude against Mary, but wished to forgive her for her apparent sin. Not much else is said of Joseph in Scripture, other than the events related to Jesus's infancy and youth as related in Matthew, chapters 1 & 2 and Luke chapter 2, except the rehearsal of his genealogy in Luke Chapter 3:23-38. I am unaware of what Church traditions may have to say about him.

Because he had nothing to do with anything else.

We can assume from Jesus actions that Joseph was a far better father than most. Jesus, while precociuos, became a good Artisan and that was all Joseph. I don't think God makes tables the same way. Jesus learned both ways!

No he isnt. He must not have done too much worth mentioning. The first hour or so af the movie Jesus of Nazereth makes their best guess....they show him bringing Jesus up as a kid, teaching him the trade he knew, taking Jesus to synagogue...pretty accurate guess for a Jewish dad of the time.

Blessings
David

All we know about him is that he (as well as his wife) are both descended from King David as foretold. The Jews needed to be convinced that Jesus was a descendant of King David as prophesied. Therefore both genealogies are provided to soothe their argumentativeness. Of course Joseph was his dad in name only, as it was the Holy Spirit Who impregnated Mary with sperm that did not incorporate the Sin Nature that the earthly father normally provides in his semen..This is how the God/Man was not able to sin (as God) and able not to sin (as man).

Most scholars believe he died while Jesus was young, but that's speculation. The Infancy Gospel of Thomas in the New Testament Apocrypha mentions him quite a bit, but it is regarded as spurious.

You need a little help with sentence structure and spelling my friend.
The Bible is about the life of one man and his descendants. There would be volumes and volumes if each and every person's life was accounted for.

Know this though, Joesph is in Paradise this very moment and waiting for everyone to join him.><>
