I get off work at 6:30 p.m. Is it better to exercise before I eat dinner or eat dinner first then exercise? Keep in mind I arrive at home about 7:15 p.m.

Actually neither would be good. You would be better off getting up earlier in the morning and exercising then. It would boost your metabolism during the day and make you feel better.
If you exercise at night before you go to bed then it will be harder for you to wind down and get a good nights sleep.
If you eat before you go to bed, then you are going to be laying there with food in your stomach and not digesting properly. You should never go to bed on a full or even 1/2 full stomach. Actually you should not go to bed until about 3-4 hours after eating.

Eat first and then exercise for only a half hour. If you do that for at five days of the week you will get in shape. Eating first is best to do in order to keep your body burning the calories and doing it on a healthy note. Also drink a great amount of water and try to stay away from caffeine and heavy chemical foods. If the food you eat holds lots of ingredients you can not pronounce or have no idea as to what they are it is best to stay away from that!

I think anytime you can commit to working out is great.
I personally think it is easier to work out before having a big meal, though you might want a fruit drink or light snack about 1 hour prior, so as not to be in low blood sugar state.
I have worked out after supper, but then have a harder time sleeping becasue I am all pumped up.

By the way, if out of shape, talk to your doctor first. Most heart attacks occur early in the morning when the body's own hormone levels are rising.

Well, it is actually in the morning when you wake up and then you're supposed to have a high protein breakfast. if you had to choose at night, i would say before dinner otherwise you'll never fall asleep at night.

It's recommended that excercise be completed on an empty stomach... so before dinner.
