Makes exactly the same amount of sense, doesn't it?
There is a certain kind of "logic" that is so off-base that you can't argue with it other than to throw up your hands and give up. That kind of logic, which includes "how can 2 billion people be wrong" (which obviously doesn't include the Chinese) also asks irrefutable questions of the nature of "If 'BURD' doesn't spell bird, what does it spell?", and so forth.
When you give up in disgust, they believe they have won an argument.
What I also don't understand is that if the Creator wants me to believe certain things, why have perverts, idiots and outright criminals been appointed to the task of teaching me?

Basically, is the majority always right? About what they believe ...Yes
About what is the truth.... No
But I am a Christian because I believe so I am right about that regardless of others opinions. Belief does not require collaboration to be proven true.
But then I can remember when Scientist first thought the world was flat.... and the earth was the center of the universe... not a very good track record for the truth either my friend... oh.. just check into the concept of intelligent design..and no this is not an organized religious attempt to disprove evolution.... it is another branch of scientist who are saying this.... wait til you own kind prove evolution wrong... wow
btw... you are correct Christians are not normal... and the too is biblical... thanks for noticing ;)

Ive never used it myself... but then again I could say "if 5 billion people believe 1+1 will equal 39 in billions of years" would that be the same sort of argument?

Well, good point, but techincally, if 5 billion people believe 1+1=39, it will because that is what the majority thinks. Numbers, languages, theories, are all relative to what we have been taught.

We are all entitled to our opinions, and we all make our own choices, and quite frankly, unless our choices are unlawful in some way, they are nobody else's business. In addition, let me add that I don't care what five billion people think about anything. I care what I think, and I care about how I behave. I hope I can help make someone's journey on earth a little better while I'm here, I hope I don't embarrass my family or my God by anything I do, and each day I try to live according to my own personal code of ethics and behavior. If this displeases someone, all I can say is that you can't make all the people happy all of the time, so you may as well make yourself happy.

Christians are normal people, by the way -- well, as normal as any human can be. All humans have quirks, irrespective of their personal religious leanings. Christians are not right because so many believe. The numbers have absolutely nothing to do with it. If there was only one Christian left on the planet, he or she would still have the truth and therefore be 'right,' as you put it. Truth is not determined by a public opinion poll, after all.

There are alot of Atheists in this world, just look at how many come to this site. Their growing disbelief doesn't mean God is literally vanishing...and that is because noone knows who is right and wrong, but as long as some still believe, then religion will never go away.

Show me the 5 billion that believe that, then we'll talk.
What makes it different is that there are not 5 billion people who believe that. You can't just make something up and expect to use that as logic, now can you?
