Mononucleosis is a viral infection causing fevers, sore throat, and swollen lymph glands, especially in the neck. It is usually linked to the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), but can also be caused by other organisms such as cytomegalovirus (CMV).
Symptoms:
Fever
Sore throat
Swollen lymph nodes, especially in the neck and armpit
General discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling
Drowsiness
Loss of appetite
Muscle aches or stiffness
Swollen spleen
Rash
Less frequently occurring symptoms include:
Jaundice (yellow cast to skin)
Headache
Neck stiffness
Sensitivity to light
Cough
Shortness of breath
Chest pain
Rapid heart rate
Fatigue
Nosebleed
Hives

mono runs your system down so its easier to catch other diseases. I had it when I was 22 and almost died from it. Screws with your spleen and liver. It's nothing to laugh about, that I can tell you for sure.

Chronic fatigue, aches all over, fever, general blahs. Catch it while its still early, you DON'T want it to turn into Epstein-Barr, it'll take a lot longer to get over, basically TOTAL bed rest, and could be serious.

tired!! can start with a sore throat and flu like symptoms. Get some blood work run to be sure. It can be dangerous to your spleen, I believe.
