You should consult with the baby's doctor who is qualified, trained, and licensed to give you medical advice. People on this site are not. Good Luck!!

No. Most children start crawling between the ages of 7-8 months. Some vary as much as starting at 5, where others don't start until 11- or not at all. Some skip straight to cruising on furniture without the crawling. It depends on your child's developmental level and muscle strength.

Every child is different, and develops naturally at their own rate. A 7 month old who is not sitting up or crawling is not "late." They are fine. If at 9 months or so he is still not sitting up, talk to his pediatrician.

To strengthen his abdominal muscles and allow him the opportunity to develop the muscles needed to crawl and sit up, you can allow him the opportunity for "tummy time." You can also try sitting him in a boppy where he is still supported a little when you sit him up, I would also recommend sitting him up (where you can reach him) by himself for short periods of time. These periods will get longer as the muscles develop, and before you know it, he'll be sitting up on his own, and you'll be chasing him around the room.

I wouldn't say "LATE" kids take their time at these kinds of things.. my son waited a LONG TIME!! He didn't sit up til he was 8-9 months old crawled at about 10 months.. n walked at 18 months.. I wouldn't be too concerned at this point. if it comes to 12 months and he is not doing this, I would talk to a doc. but at ur 8 month check up.. I'm sure the doc. will let you know!

He should be sitting by now, but crawling no. Some kids never crawl and go straight to walking. Most kids usually sit by themselves between 5-6 months. Some kids just develop later, and it does not mean anything is wrong just because he isn't sitting, but bring it up to your pediatrician at your next vist.

All babys start things at different times. When you read that he should crawl at a certain age it is just a guess. That is around the time most babys start, give or take a few months. My sone never crawled at all. Hope that helps you!

no not at all. You're baby will probably not be able to do that for a couple more months. Some babies are just quicker at it than others. He'll get to it. My daughter was walking at 9 months...skipped crawling altogether. My son though he just started crawling in his 10th month. Just let him do his thing, he'll get it.

My son sat by himself at six months. As far as crawling my son didn't really crawl. He started that at about nine months and then walked the following month. Every baby is different. Talk to your doctor.

NO don't worry yourself about this. They grow up so fast. Before you know it you will be chasing that baby around the house wishing it would just sit still for one moment.

gee no

its not uncommon for a babe not to crawl untill they are nearly one - try putting babe in a bean bag this will start the process of the babe to sit up abit and wriggle around and stay safe at the same time
