A tired puppy will sleep through an atom bomb. Try walking the puppy thoroughly and then when time for bed, a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel (so the puppy doesn't get burned) and an old wind up clock, wound up and set inside the towel ought to send puppy off to puppy dreamland. Having just been through this with own new puppy, works like a charm. Now she sleeps all by herself, or with me and the other dog, each on either side of me. We make a nice warm pile of pack. LOL! Good luck with your new baby!

Are you putting him to sleep in his crate or kennel? Does it have warm soft blankets? I've experienced a puppy that fights sleep, but it was because he needed warmth. He had warm blankets and everything, but he needed to feel cuddled, as a new puppy does after being taken from its mother. So he can't sleep after 6 or 8 weeks of cuddling up to Mom and his brothers and sisters. I read somewhere that if you take a big stuffed animal and put a hot water bottle and a ticking clock inside it will be like a surrogate. The ticking clock will be like the heartbeat and the warm water will keep him warm. Or just put him in a blanket and have him sleep next to you for a short time. You don't want him to get used to it though.

The cat field is tremendous to delivery extra appropriately to vet. you ought to handle a number of those questions on your vet. positioned the cat food up the position puppy can't get. all of them love cat food yet protein element and foodstuff are for a cat, not canines and under no circumstances a puppy. Please be careful employing any canned ingredients for now! we do not have each and every of the solutions yet on the puppy food keep in mind. Dry food extra powerful for the teeth, gum well being. perhaps ask the vet even although that he ought to absolutely advise a intense cost food he sells. And shop in ideas the intense cost gained't advise as a lot as we were presented about have self belief. you've a 8 wks previous toddler that has conventional the relief of its clutter. for my section, i hit upon that allowing some mattress time with me makes a extra shelter and extra reachable experienced canines. i take advantage of a mattress pad in simple terms in case. in spite of the indisputable fact that, it does not take lengthy for most domestic dogs to evoke you to move potty. They not often move of their mattress until eventually no decision. I actually produce different mature females that help with the domestic dogs I foster. yet all get their time contained in the bedroom. Make her a blankie for beside the mattress it rather is hers, with some toys or filled animal to snuggle. thanks for being a worrying proprietor and attempting to do the right ingredient, inclusive of taking her to her vet!!!

This is part of being a puppy. He will sleep when he gets tired enough. He is afraid of missing something. There is a whole new great big world for him to explore.

Eventually he will just get to worn out to go check on new sounds,
but if you want to try to help him sleep sooner I used to hold my dog in my lap and rock in a chair. The combination of motion and being held close will knock him right out. be warned though if he's going to get big, that he'll still want to sit in your lap when full grown now and then

Try placing him in a quiet room or just place a towel or blanket over his cage to muffel any sounds. Eventually like others have said he will get used to it. At least he doesnt whine when he hears sounds like my puppy did. lol

Using a clock with a ticking second hand always did the trick for my pups. Put one under a blanket that he lies on, and he'll think it's the beating of his mom's heart and fall asleep.

Good luck!

PS: Make sure the alarm isn't set to go off!!! Lol.

He will eventually become accustomed to noises and will soon sleep through them. Give it time. He's just a baby.
