My 6 year old has had problems learning to speak; but the dr's say it's NOT any form of mental disability(ADD, ADHD, autism). We've been doing his ABC's for almost 5 years and he can only identify a few of them. He knows who I am, family ect. is. He is struggling with remembering words, letters and numbers. Yet he will learn and remember a song clearly. I'm baffled and so are the dr's; does anyone know what's wrong with him?

I'm waiting to see a neurologist now, so we've got that covered.

Maybe he's not as that quick to learning yet. Maybe you should see a doctor again because I clearly don't know what's going on but maybe he has a learning disability?
