He also must sign bills that are passed in Congress (and can veto those he doesn't approve). The President also represents our nation around the world when he meets with the leaders of other governments)

7- As commander-in-chief he can call into federal service the state units of the National Guard, and during times of war or emergencies that affect our nation, Congress can grant the president increased powers to help protect national security. He can make treaties with other countries (that the Senate must ratify with a 2/3 vote). And only the president can authorize the use of nuclear weapons.
8- signing a bill, vetoing a bill, or allowing a bill to become law without signing it if the bill goes 10 days on his desk without b eing signed. However, if congress adjourns before the 10 days is up, and the president does not sign the bill, it is a pocket veto.l This allows the president to veto a bill in a way in which it can not be overridden by a 2/3 majority in congress because they can not vote when they are not in session.

3. A conference committee is formed to resolve the differences. The version they approve then goes back to both houses for approval.

5. The popular vote in each state determines that states Electors. The form the Electoral Collage that actually elect the President. Most states require the Electors to vote in accordance with the sates popular vote.

a. take some NoDoz before class and try to stay awake,
b. open you text and (god forbid) read it
c. drop out of school if you are really so dumb as to not know these answers,
d. Never, ever, under any circumstances go near a polling place when (if) you grow up.
