The war against the Iraqi army didn't even last 6 weeks. However, I think the Bush Administration was surprised at the flow of Iranians and Syranians (and others) into Iraq. It's almost as if that was a second war in Iraq. It's too bad they didn't plan for that better, but it's also too bad that the Democrats have been playing games with the war and the rest of the world has their thumb up their arses to do the right thing.

Bush wouldn't let him play war unless he promised to stop before it cost too much. Bush is easy to fool - that's why they (Rummy, Cheney, et al) had him as their figurehead and pulled strings to steal the election - twice.
