Hey everyone. My question is this.......Is there a hi-liting kit that washes out in one shampoo? I know of some where it washes out in 24 shampoos, but i need something that comes out right away. It's for my 12 year old cousin. She wants me to do her hi-lite's for a Christmas party, but her dad will only allow it if it comes out the first time she washes her hair. Any ideas? I would really appreciate it. Thanks :)

If you go to your local beauty supply store there should either be some really temporary highlights or a spray/powder temporary mix- the other way around it would be to highlight her hair regularily NOW and then recolor her hair to her natural color after Christmas- most say to wait 48 hours between colorings.

The staff at the beauty supply store could give you more details and let you know what products aren't too harsh.

There is no such thing as a temporary highlight. When you highlight hair, you're pulling the pigment out of the hair...the only way to get rid of them is to add color back in. They will not "wash out". You can consider doing a "low-light" with a temporary haircolor darker than her natural color, but going any lighter will be permanent until it's colored over. Most temporary colors don't come out right away either....a lot are 7-10 washes. Hope this helps!
