Biting is very normal for puppies just like babies like to put objects in their mouths. They even bite each other at play. They need to engage their jaws in that activity because its so natural, but its a nuissance when they do it to us or chew up our clothes and other stuff. Get him a chew toy to get that biting out of his system. When he bites you and it makes you mad, scold him by firmly saying no directly after he does it. When you're firm with the dog, he'll understand that its wrong to bite you. Hope this helps!

do no longer hit your canines like some each and every physique is suggesting. in case you hit your canines you would be doubtlessly soliciting for a large variety of better issues down the line. First, attempt to no longer play with the domestic dog in a fashion that encourages biting or aggressive habit, including "tug of conflict." whilst your domestic dog does bite - and that's what domestic canines tend to do whilst they play - make a noisy, extreme-pitched sound including a yelp (you are able to say "ouch" or "no" or merely make a noise to GET THE domestic dog'S interest) and withdraw your hand. turn faraway from the domestic dog and stop playing for a 2d. This resembles the way your domestic dog's littermates would say "Ouch, that harm! i'm no longer fidgeting with you anymore!" in a fashion that domestic dog will understand.

Do NOT - I repeat - NOT try to stop all of this type of behavior. Pups will bite and need to learn "mouthing" skills. A dog that is not allowed to "mouth" never learns bite restraint. When it bites to the point of pain say "Ouch" (loudly) and correct him with a NO! Does he know what "no" means yet?
Mouthing skills are important in human/dog interaction as well as dog/dog interaction. Plus - you may want him/her to bite someday - I want my dogs to bite the guy trying to get in my door!!!

You have to train the puppy bye tapping it in the butt or tapping it in the nose to tell the puppy that it was a bad thing it did!!!!
Or u just talk to her or him and tell him everyday i did that with my dogs and they dont bite anyone unless i tell them too!!!!

When my dogs were puppies and bit, we use to pinch their snout closed and say no biting. And hold the snout close til they fidget and start to cry. Its hard b/c you'll feel like you are hurting them, but it's ok. It worked for us.

give them a chewie and tell them no and play gentle with them, I have 3 puppies. Different breeds can be harder than others. give them lots of outside play time this helps to keep them from getiing to riled up they get bored and need lots of exercise LADYBIRDMORGAN@YAHOO.COM
