Some times if you have extremely curly pubic hair one or two will curl back under the skin and become infected. The infection grows and soon you have a boil. Unfortunately you are going to have to get some rubbing alcohol, a sewing needle and you're going to have to lance it and drain the infection. Scrap dead skin off with cleaned, hot water soaked wash rag and free the trapped hair.

You can lance it yourself but be sure to sterilize (burn with a flame) the end of a needle or pin you use to lance it.

Then wash it out with hydrogen peroxide and put Triple Antibiotic cream on it until it heals.

It could be an ingrown hair, a bug bite, a skin irritation that got infected: there could be lots of reasons.

If it heals fine, it is comes back again then do go to the doctor because you could have a systemic infection and you might need to take some medication orally.

Well I use to get those as a adolescent and believe it or not but my Mom would get a Q-Tip and Bacon grease from when she would save from frying foods she would then have me wash hands and bust it them she would place some bacon grease on a Q-Tip and place on the area of the boil it Burnt Like Hell but IT WAS GONE IN A MATTER OF DAYS. Sometimes it may be from wearing our underwear to tight clothing ect. Where it may Rub up against the skin, it may mean hygiene or one may need a good colon cleansing. it could just be an infected hair. It'll keep filling up with puss and get sore and red due to the pressure inside. Try sterilizing a pin and popping it. The puss will come out and the swelling will release. If it get too bad you must see a doctor. Sometimes antibiotics are in order as well.
