I had a prophetic dream abt my future in the past, but I turned away from God and got into real trouble. Now, I have a little doubt about that promise that God made me. I asked him for the same exact dream last night if he was really him, but I didn't have the dream. Does that mean he wasn't him?

keep praying , have faith. god will come in his time, not yours. if you worship him in the tough times and in times of doubt then he will honour you. trust me.....he loves you and will come through!

You always have to test the spirits, to see whether or not they are from God- 1Jn.4:1; 1Th.5:20. If you believe you have or had a prophetic dream from God, then you must test that dream by the teachings of the Bible. Sometimes God has plans to use us for His glory and we throw a monkey wrench into it through disobedience and sin. Sometimes, though extremely rare, God will Even let us have a glimpse of those future plans, but if we mess up, then we delay those plans -or we may even thwart them, though God can still use us for His purposes as He chooses.
Instead of asking God for that exact same dream for some type of verification from Him, I suggest you dig into His Word and meditate on it. Also, keep on praying and communing with God. If you want answers from the Lord, there is no other sure way to get them.
God never breaks His promises. We may think a promise was from Him, but that's not necessarily the case. The promises of God are found in the Bible. All you need for your walk with God and your relationship with Jesus Christ is found in the Bible. I will say a prayer that God reveals Himself and His will to you through His Word. God bless.

The best that I can tell the only thing you can know for sure, is that God's answer to your petition to have that dream again that night was : "no."

The thing is, your use of free will may have altered how much that prophetic dream applies to you now. Think about it. The people of Ninavah were prophesied to that they would be destroyed, but they used their free will and repented and altered themselves so much that the prophesy didn't apply to them anymore.

God still loves you. You just might want to think about asking if He has a different path in mind for you now.

best wishes

NO--I use to stand on my toilet as a child and ask God to make me fly and I wouldn't tell anyone. I never flew. I believe God gives us what we need when we need it. It may not have been a prophetic dream, but it may have been and doesn't apply anymore. I think you should keep the faith and stop dwelling on the dream. If God wants you to know something he'll let you know in his own way.

Don't test God, He doesn't do tests.

If your dream was prophetic and He promised something to you, then it will come true. Check your Bible and see how many times He told the Jews that they had a covenant with Him - yeah, just the once.

I think you should ask God for Wisdom. He will let you know directly without a doubt when He is speaking to you. It will feel right in your heart. God will not send you a confusing message.

There is really only one important thing to remember and that is that God loves you and is waiting for you to return to Him!
God does what God does when He wants to. You cannot force the hand of God!
If you really want to know the will of God for your life read the Bible and pray to Him!

Let me say first of all that I am a born again Christian, walking with the Lord for over 35 years, and I definitely do believe in supernatural dreams and visions, because the Bible is full of them. That being said, I would advise you to put little stock in dreams and visions until you are firmly rooted and established in the proven revelation of God as disclosed in the Scriptures, the Word of God. Psalm 119:105 states: "THY WORD is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." I understand that to mean it is intended to be our continuous guide not only for the next step you take (lamp to my feet), but also in all long-range plans in life (light to your path). Scripture promises success to the one whose "delight is in the law (or teaching) of the Lord. and in His law (teaching) does he meditate day and night" (Psalm 1:2). Jesus said if we love Him we would keep His commandments (John 14:21-26); not out of slavish fear, but in the "obedience of faith" (Romans 1:5). So my advise to you is seek the Lord through a humble disciplined search of the Scriptures - start in the New Testament, but ease your way into the old Testament, because "All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." (II Timothy 3:16,17). God Himself will teach you, if you assume the proper posture of humble reverence to His Word.

do you really think its so easy to order God to do this and that he's not a genie and you don't get 3 wishes....no it means you need to think about what you were given before and move on,i wrote my dream down...he kept speaking to me til I wrote my dream down 2 days after I had it,and a lot of people on here don't like the dream...but I send it out because I was told to do so.......here it is

THE DREAM

I DREAMED ONE NIGHT TWO ANGELS CAME TO MY BED. THEY TOOK ME TO HEAVEN I FELT I HAD NOTHING
TO DREAD. WE STOOD IN FRONT OF A BIG WHITE GATE. IT OPENED SLOWLY AS WE STOOD IN WAIT.
MANY CLOUDS BILLOWED AND SWIRLED ABOUT US AS I STOOD IN AWE OF THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS THAT
SURROUNDED US. WHAT I SAW WORDS COULD NOT EXPRESS, I WANTED TO STAY AT THIS BEAUTIFUL ADDRESS.
THE ANGELS ALLOWED ME TO LOOK INSIDE, THE BEAUTY THE MAJESTY, MADE ME CRY.
"IT'S TRUE, IT'S ALL TRUE, I KNOW THAT IT'S TRUE" I HEARD MYSELF CRY, AS TEARS RAN STREAMING
FROM MY EYES.
I KNEW WHAT I SAW WAS NOT OF THIS EARTH,THIS CREATION WAS FOR THOSE OF THE NEW BIRTH. THE
POWER, THE BEAUTY, THE SIGHT OF IT ALL WAS SO STRONG,THAT THE ANGELS SHUT THE GATES QUICKLY
TO MY NEW HOME. "IT'S NOT YOUR TIME," I HEARD THEM SAY, " WE JUST WANTED YOU TO SEE WHAT WAS
ON THE WAY," THEY SAID "YOU WILL NOT REMEMBER WHAT YOU HAVE SEEN INSIDE THE GATE, BUT YOU WILL REMEMBER WHERE
YOU HAVE BEEN.YOU MUST TELL OTHERS ABOUT THIS DREAM. THAT GOD'S WORD IS TRUE. IT'S THE REAL THING.
GOD HAS LET YOU SEE WHAT IS YOUR REWARD IF YOU WORSHIP, LOVE HIM, AND KEEP HIS WORD."
WE ALL NEED TO REALIZE THAT IT'S REALLY TRUE. WE NEED TO GET THE LOST ONES IN IF IT'S ALL THAT WE
DO. WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME, THE END IS NEAR, AND YES, IF YOU ARE LOST YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO FEAR.
CALL ON JESUS NOW, SO YOU CAN GO TO AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I SAW AND YOU'LL BE EXCITED TOO.
I'LL SOON BE IN MY NEW HOME,PASS THE BIG WHITE GATES. DON'T YOU WANT TO GO THERE TOO? I JUST CAN'T
WAIT!!!!

I REALLY DREAMED THIS DREAM JUST AS IT IS WRITTEN. I FEEL IT WAS INSPIRED BY GOD AND HE GUIDED MY
THOUGHTS AND MY HAND IN PUTTING THIS TOGETHER.

I AM GIVING THIS TO YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND GOD HAS DIRECTED ME TO DO SO.
I HOPE THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP YOU TO MAKE THE BIGGEST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE
TO ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR AND TO SERVE HIM. SO YOU, ONE DAY
WILL STAND AT THE BIG WHITE GATES AND BE INVITED IN TO STAY, FOR ETERNITY.
GOD BLESS YOU

You cannot pray one night for something and expect it to happen that night or thr next. God answers prayers when he feels the time is right.

You may need to get assurances from scripture. Getting assurances from dreams is not the best way to get assurances from God.
