I know this doesn't fit the theme, but this is the closest one I could find. I am from phoenix, and I know live in Utah. I don't know how to walk in snow, ice, slush, etc, with tennis shoes. Any Advice?

put good padding in your jeans. HSN had some rubber straps with small metal spikes on the bottom that you could put on and take off any pair of shoes you have. Look them up, but I would invest in some good waterproof winter shoes/boots with good grips on the bottom at the very least. The rubber shoe spikes where small and didn't look riduculous!! Give em a shot. I wish I could think of the name but do a search on HSN for shoes/accessories, shoebands.

Don't wear tennis shoes that's why northeners wear boots in winter with th ridges on the bottom. Lift her feet higher when you walk so u impact the snow more avoiding slippage

Buy some boots with a good grip. Walk slowly, and do not try to ice skate for fun--you will end up on your posterior.

I would have to say walk normal but in a pair of boots. Get yourself a good pair of winter boots, something that claim to be non-slip....just don't put too much weight into the "non-slip" claim. You will get used to it...no tennies..they just don't have enough tread!!

You can get some ice creepers that fasten on to your shoes with elastic straps. They slip on and off easily and your can walk on even the most slippery of ice patches.

Just walk like normal. If you see ice though be a little more careful. Hope that you can catch yourself from falling. You'll get used to it. I wouldn't walk around any different though, people might wonder what's wrong with you.

After a few falls you will get the hang of it.

Walk slow

When you walk raise you with your knees higher then you normally would when normally walking and step down with your heel of your foot. Step wider apart then normal and walk slower.
