popping noises. I am feeling achy, feverish and exhausted. What is this and will antibiotics help? I don't want to take them if I don't have to. Any ideas?

It sounds like you have had an infection or virus in your sinuses and ears and it is draining down. You should see your doctor to have it evaluated to see if it is an infection which is usually treatable with antibiotics, but a virus is not. A fever and colored drainage is a good sign it is infection, but again have a doctor look at your throat and ears and get a culture if needed.

Antibiotics do not work for viral infections, only bacterial. It;s best not to guess which one yo have, Only a doctor can make that assessment. Generally, if you are not feeling better after a week to 10 days, see the doctor because you probably need an antibiotic.

If it came on very suddenly, I would think you have the flu. It comes on you within a few hours and you are just absolutely worn out. Antibiotics won't help. Call your doctor and ask for Tamiflu within 48 hours.
