The Marines have a charity called "Toys for Tots." You could look into that. Also, you could contact the Salvation Army. Good luck.

The salvation army is a pretty caring organisation. They can ensure that you and your children's welfare are taken care of. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job, but it is christmas time, generally speaking, there usually is a lot of extra positions vacant to fill the extra sales pressure.
You could also contact your local emplyment agencies and get started looking for a new job as well.

First try your local Salvation Army. In my state they have a Christmas sign up. You could also try your local churches. I'm sorry you lost your job. I hope you can get the help you need to have a Merry Christmas!

first off i would try the salvation army - they helped me one year. plus if you can go to any of the temporary job agencies to see if they have any jobs to offer. if nothing else try doing something out of your home like offer to wrap christmas package and price it ( paper, bows, cards, gift tags, ect...) i am not sure if you will need a business license or not. maybe you could ask for donations so you don't have to get a business license. i know a friend who made a quilt and raffled it off. she charge $1.00 a ticket and made money that way. the good will off of versailles rd behind mcdonalds has nice stuff real cheap too. hope this helps.

If your children are really small....they wont know the difference anyway. Did you go to the unemployment office?? There must also be places hiring just for December.

Personally, I would check with a church. I don't know if you have a church or even believe in God, but a good church will help. Mine helped with food on thanksgiving, and I wasn't supposed to know but it slipped from my mom....my church is giving us gifts for our 3 kids because we can't afford it. They have even paid my rent on 3 occasions and helped with food and diapers and such. Find a church like mine and they would help you with all they can. Just be appreciative and not abuse what they give...some people do that.

Being that your children are very young, they probably aren't going to notice there are fewer presents this year.
Check into Toys For Tots or another organization like that. Maybe check eBay. There are tons of brand new toys on there that you can get for next to nothing. Good luck and God bless :-)
