you shouldn't worry about anything yet. My 6 year old daughter has only lost 1 tooth, and that was her bottom. With in the next 2 years if he still hasnt lost any teeth you might want to take him to the dentist before his adult teeth come out. I found this out by her doctor. I hope that helps.

I don't think his premature birth has anything to do with that at all. I've taught elementary school for 9 years and I can tell you from observing hundreds of kids over time that some kids just lose their teeth later than others. I've seen some kindergarteners who are 5 years old who have lost teeth and second graders who are 7 who haven't lost any, including my nephew. Each person is different. If I had to guess a cause, I would say the rate at which he got in his baby teeth may be an indicator of the rate at which he'll lose them. But rest assured that one day he will indeed lose those teeth. He may be one who loses all 4 front teeth at around the same time. That'll make for a good picture!

Children loose their teeth at different ages. Some children are early bloomers while others are late. I know several children you did not loose their first until 9 years old.
Both of my children were pre-mature, and both did not loose their first tooth until just before they turned 8.
If you are worried that they may not have permanent teeth, a dentist can have an x-ray taken to see what is (or is not) up there. It's neat to see the teeth in this intermediate stage!

My daughter didn't start losing teeth until she was 7. Don't worry about it, all the kiddies are different. Just make sure she's seeing the dentist and getting enough flouride, and you should be good.

Run your fingernail for the time of the line, if it feels bumpy it will be ridges in his tooth which will are growing stained with the help of the years and the comb won't be able to get in there. Take him to the dentist for a examine up and if its that they could polish it away

dont worry about it. just keep taking him to the dentist and the teeth will come out when it is time. Or, lol, the dentist will pull them. Both methods work.

If he got his baby teeth late he will get his adult teeth late. My oldest child did not loose any teeth until he was almost 7. The later they get their adult teeth the better it is.
