Yeah this guys moms boyfriend says that hickeys cause cancer if you get one more than once. I really need to know because my boyfriend gave me my first one, and I am scared to find out because I want aother one because I love how getting one feels.

a hicky is caused by sucking, the blood raises to the surface of the skin, which causes the skin to look bruised and discolored. There are rumors that you could possibly get tumors or blood clots from this however there is no need to worry because they cannot cause cancer. cancer is a disease, it is caused by low production of white blood cells that help your body fight of infections and bacteria. Most people who have cancer die because of some other illness before they die of the actual cancer itself. So you see it may be quite impossible for a hickey to change the white blood cell count in your body.

No, Hickeys DO NOT cause Cancer. A hickey is a bruise that is causes by ruptured capillaries due to the pressure of someone sucking on your neck. Just tell your boyfriend to move around to different areas and not to suck so hard on your neck.

When I was in highschool I heard the same thing. I'm really not entirely positive if it's true or false, but I have a feeling they told you that to keep you from getting another one. They really do look horrible. Your boyfriend could still kiss your neck and whatnot without leaving a mark. Or is it that you like everyone being able to see what you've been up to?
