I like this guy but I can't tell if he likes me or not. Everything we look at each other we're locked in a glance for about 15 seconds and then we look away. He doesn't talk to me much but I know he's know shy or anything because he's very open with girls.

He is too nervous and/or shy to show his emotions that he has towards you. I am almost certain of this due to the locked in glance; most guys dont really look at your eyes when people are talking to them, or they are talking to them. Looking into their eyes is generally exhibiting genuine interest, and when he is looking into your eyes you are not talking, that shows interest in you... Most guys your age (I am expecting you are in Middle or High School?) don't really know how to show or go about showing that they like you; it would be better if you went about asking him or made him more comfortable around you. Ask a friend for his phone number, AIM, talk to him online or at home, do whatever to make him feel more comfortable around you. Eventually, you might want to ask him if he likes anybody on the phone or AIM, or, alternatively, ask him if he likes you as much as you like him. Things should be easy from there on.

Talk to him. ask him (for example) how he likes the pineapple pizza in the cafeteria. maybe he'll grin, and tell you what he did with the pineapple after he sccraped it off. Or maybe he'll grunt and turn away. either way, you'll have your answer.
