well of course im black, and i have this white friend who acts black. we act like boyfriend and girlfriend (hes so cute lol) and i be callin him stuff like "my white chocolate" and "my lil oops oreo!" so do you have any ideas on what else i can call my hubby?

OMG i am NOT trying to be raceist....im NOT raceist at all...why would i be tryina call him cute names if i was? and he jokes around with me too, callin me stuff like his hershey kiss (see thats not raceist) its all in fun dont get yall underwear ina bunch.

You can call him friend! 'Wigger' is not a name for someone you care about, IMHO.
Ok, now that that's said, me and my girls used to call one of my buddies 'white chocolate', and 'alpine white' (that was the name of Nestle's white chocolate bar when they produced them) and all that, too. He would call me and my friends 'sexy chocolate'. He was a white guy who hung out with 3-4 black women- and he went EVERY where with us, black sorority/fraternity parties, black student union functions, everything. We knew people talked about it, so we embraced it and gave each other nicknames, in love.
I am married to a white man, and just between us (NO one knows this, exept you all now) and we will refer to him as 'Papa Paste'. I feel silly just writing it- but there it is! Again, it's done in love- and it's just a part of relationships.
I am a member of a Black Sorority, and one of my white friends who always does stuff with us loves to tell everyone she's a legacy. (BTW she would be welcome to join if she wanted to, but Sororities aren't her thing).

I do understand what you are saying, I hear that all the time and I cringe when I do. Im not black so in a way I guess I cant identify, but why not? I have been victimized by discrimination of many sorts myself and I watch the world very carefully. Im also not a cat, but that doesnt mean I cant understand cats, does it? A bit of an abstract analogy, I know. Really its like that in all cultures. If rich people wear jeans and go to the 'not-so-trendy' bars they call it 'slumming'. You will hear working class whites make similar comments. You hear women say "Shes trying to act like a man". You even have such standards withing the gay community. I prefer to be an individual and take people on an individual basis, or at least I try. I even get dogged for that. It is a real dilemma, one that has been around since the "Age of Enlightenment".

Have you ever considered that maybe that's how he really is .And it might upset him that you call him that but he might not say so because he really likes you .but if not tell him it's OK to be himself around you and no matter what the results are you still see him as your hubby instead of calling him those name give him a cute pet name .There is a little pressure on him because you are black and he might be Little intimidated of dating you so he puts on a show.There is no such thing as a stupid question the only stupid question is one that you have and are afraid to ask

Whigger. That's what I've always heard them called. I don't like the word though. Why make racial jokes if ya love him. It will cause serious problems eventually. There was a movie that came out about this. A cute white guy was in it and a black woman.

how bout leaving out the fact that he is white and you are black and go from there dont try to make a joke of this see your selfs as to humans that are atracted to each other and that might help call him a cutie pie honey bunch of oats or sweet lip something like that because i bet he really doesnt care for the names you have pick out for him life doesnt always have to be black or white it can be just life you know

You can call him by his name and you can seperate yourself from him because he is having an identity crisis. Why does he have to be the bud of your jokes. What if he called you his little N@##%$ friend. That ain't cute at all
