Kinda sounds like reeaally bad fleas, which makes sense if she's been living outdoors for a while( happened to our dog last year when we kenneled him to close to the neighbor's woodpile). Do you see any tiny black dot-sized bugs on her skin? If so, she needs a flea bath, & good flea meds (like frontline, $17 from the vet), and you would need to sprinkle flea powder where she's been sleeping & on your carpeting. If she has mange, she would have bald patches (mange is the dog & cat equivalent of ring worm- which isn't a worm, it's a fungal skin infection), I don't think there would be sores.

oh... Poor dog! If I were you I would take her to the vet! So she can get her life back to gether and make her feel much better. Do you have potrollium Jelly? that would work great! It always works I have cats and dogs! By the way it heels quickly! Make sure she has a nice warm bed to sleep on! Or a couple blankets to sleep on! I would take her to the vet!

It could be ring worms so be carefully with touching the sores. These can be transferred to humans as well. She might have the mange, could be fleas, there are many things it could be. If you have the warm heart for her get her some help. She can't take care of herself and you taking her in takes a lot of love and I hope you find in your heart to do the right thing. Best wishes..

For heaven's sake. Either take the dog to a vet or surrender it to the humane society, which will take care of its health issues. You're not doing this dog any favors by using it as an "herbal remedy guinea pig," especially when you don't even know what's wrong.

I give you credit for helping a dog in need, I would bathe it and put some benadryl on it and then take it to the vet.

First, bath her in luke warm water with oatmeal bath
(3.00) that you sprinkle in the water and wash her with baby shampoo. Dry her thoroughly with a towel. Then, put "CORONA" on all her sores and rash. You can buy this at any pet or feed store. This is a thick white cream mainly used on horses and it is fabulous! I have used it on my dogs also.

She could possibly have the mange. The mange is caused by the scabies mite and can be hard to get rid of. You can buy a dip at PetSmart or some place like that.
