It sounds like your best friend is important to you...you know...there are alot of hot brunette's out there...if she was not a nice girl to your best friend then she will not be a nice girl to you...you like your best friend most likely because you share the same interests and points of view in life or at least like to debate them...you can use your best friend...even though that doesn't sound nice...as a stepping stone for you...if he doesn't like her then probably you wouldn't either...anyway...this advice is my best shot at your problem...hope it helps..good luck.

You know how the saying goes man... "Bros before ... " well you know it.
I'd stay true to your friend man... this one sounds like she'd rip you two apart as friends, then leave you hangin.
She might be flirting with you just to upset your best friend too. I'd stay away man - tell her to find someone else.

tell her you not into her, dont lead her on... shes not worth it anyway....
but your friend should understand, he dated her, and knows how she was... flirty with other guys, so he should understand for the most part
it'll work out, just talk to her, tell you dont want anything to do with her(or something) and talk to him... if you have to, but you shouldnt have to, he shouldnt freak, not your fault she wont leave you alone
