I guess it depends on how you look at it but generally speaking, most people that believe in God or a god know that there are certain principles that govern life and the universe. Man's involvement is truly a big part of this. Personally, I was taught that if God were to exercise his power 100% then what type of freedom would man ultimately have? Man has a certain type of freedom and as such a corresponding responsibility to himself and others. Multiple that by billions of people throughout history and you have our current state of affairs in the world today...

Our destructive actions on the planet causes natural disasters and things. How we treat the environment and all the wars we have create these disasters not God. I know this doesn't make sense in the natural because it is spiritual. It is all apart of our free will and the universal law of reaping what you sow or karma.
The bad choices we make in this world affects everything. To change the world we must love God and love everybody else with unconditional love. The smallest acts of kindness can affect everyone on the planet and slowly change it in a positve way.

FREE WILL FREE WILL FREE WILL!!!
It seems like no one is ever pleased... if they think God controlls everything, they think we're all puppets and can controll nothing and it's "not fair" as if they want free will, but then you tell them "yes, we have free will" they forget and think God makes all the bad things happen or can't exist if there's so many bad things.
Regardless, this question is asked waaaay too often, non believers should check with eachother and see what answers they've been given before posting the same questions every half hour.

This is Satans playground. God banished Satan from Heaven and he came to this world. Man is sinful by nature. So we give into Satans temptations here. Man is weak, God is all powerful. So man messed this world up. It started in the very beginning with Adam and Eve.

Because sin has entered into the world. It's that simple, really.
He told us what to expect, tells us what we are to Him, and says that IF we trust Him, we can be a part of what He has waiting for us.
Since sin is the separater, He provided us with a chance to cross that separation.
That's one reason why the Bible tells us that we are not a part of this world. Sure, we are in it, but only for a time. We are promised a way out of this messed up world.
Yeah for His side! :)

The world is not so messed up....only some of the people in it. God created this world and He created it ALL GOOD. Too many people these days seem to look for the evil, the bad and the negative. As for myself, I choose to look for the beauty, the good, the love, and believe me, it is still all around us. I see love and goodness everywhere and I give thanks to God every single day for all HIS Blessings. As goes man...so goes the world. Look for the good and you will find it...Live in the beauty of things and you will be filled with that beauty.
Peace and Blessings to all.

That is an easy one to answer. God is all knowing and all powerful but man is not. God didn't mess up the world, man did.

Because God gives people free will. Although we disappoint Him He still loves us. He will not force Himself on us but it is His will that we all be saved. Humans screwed the world up by deciding to take matters into their own hands.

Because God gave us all choices, we can either choose to do as God would have us to do, or we can choose to live our lives in sin and go to a devil's hell..... obviously the majority are leading towards the lake of fire.... The world is sin, and the world is empty because of it.

Because man whom God created, has free will. You can even choose to ignore God's will as many do.
