For imprinting, the best way is to be there when they hatch, so you are the first thing that they see. Birds pick the first moving thing they see as their mother, whether it be a dog, goat, or human. We had a poor goose that thought he was a chicken.
As for tricks- the other answer seems a good idea to me.

We always trained ducks, geese, and chickens with food. Birds don't have the ability to taste, so treats are shelled field corn, crickets, shelled peanuts. You can train them to do lots of things like ride on your shoulder. Climb a board and general stuff just by enticing them with a treat.
