Both methods have advantages. If your product proves defective, it is easier to return it to a local shop. But if you live in a state with high sales tax (over 8%), the savings on sales tax may pay shipping charges for items over $100. You can usually buy for less on the internet if you shop around. If you are not sure whether an on-line store is reputable, look them up on www.bizrate.com I bought a 19-inch LCD monitor for $170. on the internet when local stores wanted $240. would buy anything I could in a local store and save the shipping charges. But if it's something you want and you can't find it locally then I would order it on the web. Besides, shopping locally helps the businesses in your own area to thrive and that's a good thing

It depends on how you like to shop.
Intenet may a lot of time cheaper than the store but, you cant feel the actual product.
Also, the returns, if you don't like the item, it is easier to return to the store, than to go to the post office(shipping store) to ship it back.
Plus, the waiting time. Internet, you get the item in 3-10 days on the average. In the store, just minutes.
What do I normally do?
I go to the store, feel the product, come home, then search for lower price on the net.

It depends on the shops, both physical and online. Online can sometimes be cheaper because they don't have to pay for employees or a place to put their store. However, some pages can be unreliable since you don't know who's on teh other side
