Most breeds of dog can eat raw meat their digestive system was built for raw even rotting meat. What do you think their ancestors wolves eat. Its even healthy for them. Cooked meat loses most of the good stuff during cooking. If you are talking about meat from the butcher no problem. If its hunted or found meat dont worry just worm your dog on a regular basis which you should be doing anyway

Yes and No. Yes you can feed dogs raw meat. However, it must be properly prepared. In many dog and cat circles this is called a BARF diet. BARF means either Bones and Raw Food or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food depending on whom you are speaking with.

If you are interested in moving your dog to a raw diet I would seriously recommend a lot of research.

Please note, I do not currently feed my dogs & cat a raw diet. However, they do on occasion get cooked liver.

I have included some websites below, best of luck.

In a sense, yes it is safe except for the parasites. A lot of dogs like to hunt and they eat raw meat when they kill squirrels and rabbits. You don't want your dogs to get tapeworms!

No it's not, they can get very sick from it. Meat is only okay when cooked. When you cook the meat it takes away all the germs and harmful bacteria that can make people and animals sick.
