Blacklight (UV) tattoos will most likely be a considerable amount more expensive than a normal tattoo.

And unlike normal tattoos, UV tattoos will -not- last forever. The UV ink that they use in tattooing is actually pigment encased inside microscopic spheres of glass (could be a hard plastic, I can't recall exactly). Because of this, the body is able to push the UV "ink" up through the layers of skin until it is scuffed off.

Most tattoo shops will not do UV tattoos, so you'd have to do a bit of researching to find a place near you that would do it. It not only takes a skilled artist, because of the properties of the "ink" substance, but also an area in their shop that has UV lights set up so that they can see what it is that they're doing.

blacklight tattoo ink is not fda approved. i would suggest not getting them. my tattoo artist doesn't use the ink. but i'm pretty sure it isn't more expensive. not sure about it's longevity

yes, more expensive. all tattoos last forever, except they fade over time (and get wrinkly). almost any tattoo, if one shop doesn't do them, ask if they know one that does
